10 facts about Poland

This week, My class had the option to choose what book i would do my reading tasks on, My class had the option last week as well.  I chose a book about Polish refugee children,  which was a book made from information that is over 75 years old.

5. There has been over 500,000 years of human activity
on Poland 
6. Poland has never had a nuclear weapon 
7. The national meal of Poland is bingo stew 
8. The European bison represents Poland 
9. Corn poppies are the national flower of Poland 
10. You can only buy Bison grass vodka, Obwarzanek Krakowski,
Oscypek sheep's cheese, 
Home Army anchor pin, Salt from the Wieliczka Salt Mine, Traditional Polish wood carvings, Tankard emblazoned with a
white eagle and Gdansk amber in Poland

Red Kangaroo's - information web

One of my reading tasks was to create an information web about kangaroos.
It took a while for me to create it,   i could of put more information into this, but i ran out of time.

This is a reading task,  its about red kangaroos. These facts arent to interesting im sorry about that.

Reading - Create task 


1. Red kangaroos can see red orange or yellow
2. They  have two stomach chambers 
3. They can jump any direction but backwards 
4. They can jump 8 meters long 
5. They can reach speed upto 35 miles an hour 
6. They have tails between 75 and 120 centimeters long 
7. Scientists previously thought kangaroos used their tails for balance as they walked.
But current research shows they use their tails like an extra leg to propel themselves.
8. The tail provides more support than the two hind legs 
9. The females are smaller, lighter and quicker than males 
10. Males don't have pouches

10 facts about kiwi
1.   There are four species of kiwi:  The little spotted kiwi,
The great spotted kiwi, The brown kiwi and the Tokoeka. 
2.    To the maori the little spotted kiwi is known as Pukupuku. 
3.    They are the size of a small chicken. 
4.    The females are heavier than the males. 
5.     Feathers are loosely attached to the kiwis skin. 
6.     They have a keen sense of smell and extremely good hearing. 
7.     Kiwis are the only bird in the world that have their nostrils on the tip of their
bill. 
8.     One of their burrows is 1-3 meters long. 
9.     They can live upto 30 years. 
10.   Kiwis have un-hollow bones. 

11.   They talk by making chugging and sniffing noises.
