Heroes - Hurumanu 1

In Nga Tangata, Hurumanu 1 we studied the lives of Local, national and international heroes. A hero is a male, female or a group of people who make decisions that don’t benefit themselves, but benefit the public or their country. I made some google slides about 6 sporting heroes, They were Sophie Pascoe, Matthew Trott, Valerie Adams, Richie McCaw and Caroline and Georgina  Evers-Swindell ( a team of rowers, it would have been unfair to only write about one ). ]

I made some google slides about a local hero who studied the prevention and treatment of diabetes. His name was Don Beaven and he lived in Christchurch until his death. My class and I also studied a music band called Crowded House. They were said to be ‘heroes for one day’  when they performed in Christchurch recently.

We discussed the meaning of hero worship. It means ‘ looking up to someone and trying to be like them in multiple ways. ’

My class also studied some earthquake heroes from the Christchurch Earthquake of 2011, their names were Craig R Adair because he evacuated a highly built building, Chris Cole because he provided service to local residents and contacted the authorities, Jennifer M Butler because she gave medical attention to over 100 injured individuals, Christopher A Nutsford who saved 3 to 7 people from a fallen building, putting his own life at risk and James askew because he provided assistance for the rescue efforts of the fallen CTV building.

I was supposed to write about what it would be like to be a comical hero, but there isn't enough time to write it here, but my alias was lo siento ( it means im sorry in spanish ).

Nga tanagta - Hurumanu 1

few weeks ago, when i couldn't edit my blog, in Hurumanu 1 we studied Hero's and Heroines.  we had to repentantly type how we thought comical hero's and heroines would act.  It was a relatively easy task, and my class did it in one of our early weeks at school ( eg. Week 3 ) .  My hero's work was more focused on comical superheros, but my heroines work was more focused on reality.

My hero's work is listed below:

A hero is a human who you look upto
A hero can Save people
A hero sees the good in people
A hero has followers
A hero needs recognition, food and water
A hero thinks about what they intend to do
A hero imagines about what they want to complete
A hero does what they think is right
A hero wants recognition
A hero leads those who agree with their choices and beliefs
A hero follows those who they see as a role model or an inspiration
A hero moves in a humanoid way
A hero opposes what they disagree with
A hero isn’t a ‘ wrong doer ’
A hero helps underlings
A hero saves people
