Heroes - Hurumanu 1

In Nga Tangata, Hurumanu 1 we studied the lives of Local, national and international heroes. A hero is a male, female or a group of people who make decisions that don’t benefit themselves, but benefit the public or their country. I made some google slides about 6 sporting heroes, They were Sophie Pascoe, Matthew Trott, Valerie Adams, Richie McCaw and Caroline and Georgina  Evers-Swindell ( a team of rowers, it would have been unfair to only write about one ). ]

I made some google slides about a local hero who studied the prevention and treatment of diabetes. His name was Don Beaven and he lived in Christchurch until his death. My class and I also studied a music band called Crowded House. They were said to be ‘heroes for one day’  when they performed in Christchurch recently.

We discussed the meaning of hero worship. It means ‘ looking up to someone and trying to be like them in multiple ways. ’

My class also studied some earthquake heroes from the Christchurch Earthquake of 2011, their names were Craig R Adair because he evacuated a highly built building, Chris Cole because he provided service to local residents and contacted the authorities, Jennifer M Butler because she gave medical attention to over 100 injured individuals, Christopher A Nutsford who saved 3 to 7 people from a fallen building, putting his own life at risk and James askew because he provided assistance for the rescue efforts of the fallen CTV building.

I was supposed to write about what it would be like to be a comical hero, but there isn't enough time to write it here, but my alias was lo siento ( it means im sorry in spanish ).

Nga tanagta - Hurumanu 1

few weeks ago, when i couldn't edit my blog, in Hurumanu 1 we studied Hero's and Heroines.  we had to repentantly type how we thought comical hero's and heroines would act.  It was a relatively easy task, and my class did it in one of our early weeks at school ( eg. Week 3 ) .  My hero's work was more focused on comical superheros, but my heroines work was more focused on reality.

My hero's work is listed below:

A hero is a human who you look upto
A hero can Save people
A hero sees the good in people
A hero has followers
A hero needs recognition, food and water
A hero thinks about what they intend to do
A hero imagines about what they want to complete
A hero does what they think is right
A hero wants recognition
A hero leads those who agree with their choices and beliefs
A hero follows those who they see as a role model or an inspiration
A hero moves in a humanoid way
A hero opposes what they disagree with
A hero isn’t a ‘ wrong doer ’
A hero helps underlings
A hero saves people

My heroines work:

(I was focused on greek heroines.)

A heroine is someone who helps people
A heroine can achieve their goals
A heroine sees the goodness in people
A heroine has goals
A heroine needs joy
A heroine thinks about achievements
A heroine imagines about what they want to complete
A heroine does what they intend to do
A heroine wants prosperity within the universe
A heroine leads their followers
A heroine follows their role model
A heroine moves in a humanoid way
A heroine opposes what they disagree with
A heroine isn’t evil
A heroine helps in multiple ways
A heroine saves the earth

Reading Create Task - Term 4 Week 2

This week for reading,we had to do two tasks, for the first one we had to complete, we had assigned questions from the book we chose to read, we had to write them down in are books, then put them on the slide show. Next we had the option to complete atleast two side-tasks. I chose the analysis task and the evaluation task ( because they were easiest )

(the slide isn't decorated because i'm lazy )

Week 10 Writing work

This Week for writing, instead of describing an image or writing a narrative, The whole class had to create a google slide and (like the last week of any term this year) had to get an amount of points (they brought that system back).

I managed to get 12 points, which was the amount needed, although some people got over 60. The tasks were easy, but this week i was really laid-back, and because of that, i didn't produce as much work as i could of.

The easiest task was the information report about japan, because i know lots about japan already, the recipe writing was also easy  (because its toast)
